It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to Tumkur University. You have indeed made a good choice by opting for Tumkur University as your destination of higher learning. We promise you quality higher education in the Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Commerce and Business Management.

We are proud to have teachers, who are scientists, social scientists, and scholars in their respective domains of knowledge. They are committed to teaching and research, and some of them have brought laurels to the University by making rich contributions to their disciplines. It is thrilling to note that two of our faculty members have figured in the top 2% scientists of the world, a list released by Stanford University, USA. I am sure you will have great opportunities to learn and grow with them.

Teaching and research go hand in hand at our university, and accordingly, we provide infrastructure to nurture the unity of teaching and research. Furthermore, we are upgrading our laboratories and smart classrooms to create a conducive environment for maximum learning. As we prepare our students for greater career opportunities, we have designed our curricula across the faculties to meet the needs of industry, without forgetting the core values of Liberal Education-critical thinking and citizenship training.

Further, we extend student-support services and take care of your overall well-being.
