VISION

To promote a better understanding of society through an interdisciplinary approach to the subject and open up frontier areas for research.

MISSION
To strengthen the understanding of sociological issues and help students apply that knowledge in addressing social problems.

GOALS

  • To organize community awareness programmes on issues like health, women development and law through extensive field work
  • To arrange for the dissemination of information related to the redressal of social problems by organizing seminars, conferences and symposia
  • To liaise with the Social Welfare Department at the state and the central levels and work towards the effective implementation of various schemes launched for the amelioration of social problems in rural India
  • To institute Chairs in the names of veterans in the field and offer fellowship for promoting research activities

2024 ರ ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ ಮಾಹೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಲಿರುವ ಪಿ.ಹೆಚ್.ಡಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಯ ದಿನಾಂಕ, ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಘೋಷಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪಿ.ಹೆಚ್.ಡಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅಧೀಕ್ಷಕರುಗಳ ನೇಮಕಾತಿ ಕುರಿತು.
ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ವಿಷಯಗಳ ಪಠ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಪರಿಷ್ಕರಣೆ ಕುರಿತು.
2024 ರ ಜನವರಿ ಮಾಹೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಸ್ನಾತಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ (ಬಿ.ಇಡಿ.) ಪದವಿಯ ದ್ವಿತೀಯ (ಪೂರಕ) ಮತ್ತು ನಾಲ್ಕನೇ ಸೆಮಿಸ್ಟರ್ (ನವೀನ ಮತ್ತು ಪೂರಕ) ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿರುವ ಕುರಿತು.
ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ನಿಯಮದಂತೆ 2006 ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ ಗೆ ಮೊದಲು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯಗಳ ಸೇವೆಗೆ ಖಾಯಂ ನೇಮಕಾತಿ ಹೊಂದಿ, 2006 ತದನಂತರ ತುಮಕೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕ್ರಮಬದ್ದವಾಗಿ ಸಮುಚಿತ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ತತ್ಸಮಾನ ಹುದ್ದೆ / ಉನ್ನತ ಹುದ್ದೆಗೆ ನೇಮಕಾತಿ ಹೊಂದಿದ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹಳೇ ಪಿಂಚಣಿ ಯೋಜನೆಗೆ ಪರಿಗಣಿಸುವ ಕುರಿತು.
ಕಚೇರಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅನಗತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಹಾಗೂ ನೀರನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿದಿರುವ ಕುರಿತು.
AISHE 2022-23 ದತ್ತಾಂಶವನ್ನು ನಮೂದಿಸುವ ಕುರಿತು.
